TIMBERLINE DISTRICT CONSULTING LLC is Hiring an Assistant Landscape Manager/Quality Control Manager Near Arvada, CO

About This Role: Timberline District Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting, landscape professional to join our growing management team. This person must have industry knowledge in every aspect of landscaping including but not limited to: day-to-day field operations, irrigation, map interpretation and translation, as well as management experience. This position is a mix of both field and home office work and requires an individual who can adapt and evolve to any obstacle and situation that presents itself. Time prioritization and efficiency are required to be successful in this position. Candidates must be tech savvy, have the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment, and be willing to bring unique ideas to the table that will help in day-to-day landscape management operations. 

Site management duties will include having a working knowledge of all Timberline communities, conducting site visits and providing up to date information to the Community and District Managers, collaborating with community specific contractors to ensure successful irrigation activation and winterization, spring and summer landscaping, and snow removal, monitoring and closing work orders, plant material assessments, as well participate in landscaping turnover walks between Builder and District.

Successful time management will involve a balance of time spent in the field as well as in the office to ensure community issues are documented appropriately, snow removal is verified and tracked, and weekly team meetings are attended to update the team on details of the communities. 

Customer service is a top priority. Communication with the team and contractors will be required as well to efficiently resolve any issues that arise. Professionalism and timeliness along with a working knowledge of all landscaping cultural practices will be imperative.

In addition to cultivating existing relationships with Timberline’s current customer base, gathering landscaping bids, assisting with RFPs, facilitating and participating in meetings with future clients, as well as providing landscaping consultations will be part of the required duties. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Landscape Services: Regularly inspecting landscape services across Timberline's communities to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Evaluation and Reporting: Assessing the condition of landscaping during weekly site visits and creating detailed reports based on the evaluations.

  • Assisting with Proposals and Meetings: Helping to gather landscaping proposals, managing RFP bids, and facilitating meetings related to landscaping contracts.

  • Contractor Coordination: Assisting in organizing contractors for tasks such as irrigation activation and winterization, and tracking irrigation repairs.

  • Collaboration with Management: Working closely with the Regional Landscape Manager and the Community Management team.

  • Snow Removal Checks: Conducting on-site checks and documenting snow removal activities after snow events.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with team members, communicating with contractors, and addressing complaints effectively.

  • Creativity and Improvement: Contributing to the creative process, suggesting ideas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance Timberline's landscape services.

  • Digital Mapping: Creating digital maps of communities using mapping software like GoILawn.

  • Consulting and Turnover Process: Providing input on landscape consulting and being part of the landscape turnover process.

  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrating expertise in various aspects of landscaping, including plant materials, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices.

  • Customer Service Skills: Possessing expert-level customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Math and Documentation: Using landscaping math skills, creating Excel documents, and managing work orders efficiently.

  • Adaptability: Being able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs.

  • Team Collaboration: Participating in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and plan upcoming tasks.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Associates Degree (A.A.) or commensurate experience preferred

  • 2 - 5 years experience in the Landscape industry

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Additional physical requirements include:

  • Ability to type for 4 to 5 hours per day

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally

  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time outdoors which may include walking in adverse weather conditions

  • Ability to drive and sit in an automobile for 4-6 hours in a day, which may include driving at night or in adverse weather conditions

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year base salary depending on experience
