Job Summary

Tilray’s beer subsidiary is looking for a Cost Accountant to join our beverage finance team in Atlanta reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance as well as supporting our Supply team, that manage our 6 beer production facilities located throughout the U.S. The cost accountant will play an integral role in assisting with the overall efficient operations of the finance department by coordinating the month and year end closing, overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization, budgeting, forecasting and preparation of

periodic reports.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Assist in the computation of annual overhead rates for budgeting purposes, by production facility.
Assist and validate the computation and components in how our standard costs are created.
Assist in the computation methodology for monitoring variances (labor, material etc.) between actual and standard costs.
Drive the analysis of all standard to actual variances.
Provide insight to issues and opportunities identified from variance analysis.
Drive the creation of KPI’s that management can use to assess and optimize performance.
Assist the Accounting department in recording the monthly variances, including the preparation of JE’s, as well as inventory account reconciliations for periodic closing.
Prepare monthly accounting reports for submission to management.
Assist in responding to audit inquiries.
Develop and maintain all internal controls to comply with SOX and monitor and ensure adherence to all controls.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years as a Cost Accountant or related position.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or in the final stages of the program is an asset.
Experience with SAP accounting software preferred.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Accurate and precise attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to collaborate with multi-departments.
