About the Team
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Trust and Safety team and drive business priorities involving multiple teams. As a technical program manager on the Trust and Safety team, you will report to the Head of Trust and Safety, and manage a team of Program Managers who are charged with driving strategic initiatives that require cross-functional collaboration and technical skill, including, but not limited to, technical experience managing content moderation efforts, quality assurance, minor safety policy development, engineering, data science or product management. You will work closely with all T&S teams, including Product Policy, Product, Operations and Risk and Response, as well as cross-functionally with Engineering, eCommerce, Finance, Security, Legal, Communications, Government Relations and more. You are a critical partner to the Head of Trust & Safety and the T&S leads in identifying key priorities that require technical program management. You will design and provide TPM support for the initiatives, ensuring all aspects of the initiatives are successful, including process improvements, product roadmapping, metric tracking and other deliverables. You will be skilled at strategic thinking and sound judgement, staying laser focused on business priorities, delivering impact and remaining agile in the process.
Responsibilities

• You'll be a Thought Leader and Partner to the senior management team of Trust and Safety department proactively identifying strategic opportunities for the department. You will drive the T&S cross-functional technical initiatives that leadership prioritizes and ensure they are delivered efficiently and effectively, with a focus on the teams tool's, processes and metrics.
• You'll provide people management support and leadership to TPM team, partnering with the Head of T&S to prioritize the most important work and support the PMO team in executing their deliverables.
• You'll assist and communicate with the leadership team in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
• You'll serve as a liaison for the Head of US Trust and Safety regarding critical project updates, proposals, and planning.
• You will work with Trust and Safety teams to remove roadblocks, guiding technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating meetings, drafting written and other communications.

• In-depth collaboration with Trust and Safety leaders, Public Policy, Product, Operations, Legal, and Communication teams to identify key risks, emergencies and potential challenges for USDS, drive strategic projects addressing those topics and see through the implementation to ensure content and community safety.
• Assess and analyze complicated scenarios, coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and deliver strategies and solutions to support community incident responses and escalations.
• Develop and enhance safety awareness and communicate our community & content policies in collaboration with Public Policy and Communication teams to law enforcement authorities, media and other concerned parties.
• Build and lead a multi-functional and high-performing team of analysts, investigators, incident managers and law enforcement response teams to optimize business procedures, meet targets and deliver high quality outcomes.
• You will enjoy developing structure in a dynamic environment and will have the ability to apply abstract concepts to different scenarios. You will think strategically about risk management as well as tactically about enforcement integrity. This senior role must balance internal operational realities with external policy pressures, enhance risk detection, prevention and handling through your ability to coordinate with global cross-functional teams including Government Relations, Legal, Product and Engineering to develop solutions that benefit our community.

Qualifications

• 10 years of overall experience and experience related to Trust & Safety is preferred.
• Experience in a leadership position in a top technology firm or equivalent with a strategic mindset, agility in responding and strong judgment.
• Extensive and excellent team management experience with strong record for building culture and resilience in teams.
• Deep respect for other cultures and strong empathy for users. Eager to shape a new space within a rapidly growing and changing tech company.
• Highly data-sensitive, capable of in-depth data interpretation and insights extraction.
• Deep knowledge of risk handling approaches that are specific to social media platforms, deep commitment to delivering on safety issues, and experience with designing and implementing operational approaches to building safety.
• Ability to both do deep-focused work and be agile, when needed, to thrive in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $193800 - $383040 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
