About the team
The TikTok RD team is building up core TikTok products to ensure TikTok continues a healthy growth, deliver the best product experience to all of our users, build the most attractive features to help users enjoy their time on TikTok, earn trust in privacy protection, and more. We're seeking an HR Business Partner to support hiring efforts for TikTok Engineering's core product team. You will be responsible for employee relations, retention and supporting initiatives such as performance reviews, while also improving existing processes and procedures collaborating with key stakeholders across the business. As we continue to rapidly grow, you will also assist in building innovative new programs to support our R&D teams as they scale.
Responsibilities

• Partner with your assigned business group(s) and ensure a deep understanding of business strategy and implement high-quality HR practices within the team.
• Implement and manage cyclical HR programs end-to-end, including performance management, engagement survey, recognition, etc.
• Consult with line management and provide HR guidance when appropriate, incl. talent development, performance management, and employee relations.
• Manage and facilitate function-specific HR projects, including team orientation, learning & development programs, etc.
• Manage employee disciplinary issues and provide advice to business leaders on ways to manage each case.
• Proactively assess team and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions. Drive employee engagement agenda for the employees in your business unit(s).
• Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the HR operations, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and other HR teams to implement solutions.
• Be the ambassador of TikTok organizational culture. Plan and implement organizational culture activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Human Resource Business Partner, and at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Proven experience with project management, change management and driving programs independently.
• Experience with performance management, and employee relations.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, HR related field or equivalent years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in global technology or Internet business in a high-growth environment preferred.
• Ability to bring an optimism and solution-oriented approach.
• Interpersonal communication skills and experience building relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience partnering with international colleagues and managing stakeholders across multiple time zones and cultures.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $228000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
