Responsibilities

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) are responsible for administering daily medication to residents in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. CMT duties include monitoring residents, reporting changes, and collecting and recording medication administration.

Requirements

• Certified in the state of practice, required.
• Successful completion of State Approved Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Ce Certified Medication Technician (CMT) rtified Medication Aide (CMA) in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).
