Tiello is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Houston, TX

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Federal General Contractor in the Greater Houston Area on their search for an Electrical Estimator.

The Electrical Estimator will report to the Electrical Manager and will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and overseeing the facilitation of accurate quotes (on time) with accurate detail accounting after and before the project has been awarded. In addition to overseeing all construction needs on the job site.

Title: Electrical Estimator (4 years)

Project Experience: Commercial, Industrial, & Military a plus, but not required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily electrical construction needs and maintain constant communication with the project team, project contractors, and prime contractors for purpose of coordination.
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying and analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required cost of the estimate.
  • Formulate estimates by calculating all scopes of work for takeoff purposes.
  • Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools and supplies
  • Draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
  • Participate in Estimating, Bid Conferences, Hand Off Meetings, and job walks.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar is a preferred
  • 4 years of experience - Electrical Estimation in Construction
  • Understanding of drawings including (structural, architectural)
  • Microsoft Office, Accubid, Bluebeam, & EBM/PLANSWIFT preferred
  • Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
