As an Electrical Estimator, you'll be creating estimates to help our team win commercial solar/electrical contracts furthering our ability to give back to the world in a sustainable way!

Major responsibilities:

• Prepare Bids / Estimates and Proposals
• Complete quantity, material and labor analysis from project documents
• Track, Update and apply current material pricing to estimates
• Track trends in labor and allocate base labor productivities to estimates
• Maintain constant communication with operations and sales team
• Solicit competitive pricing from all vendors
• Develop and maintain relationships with all subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing for accurate estimates.
• Introduce cost saving ideas based on years of electrical expertise

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years in electrical field or equivalent exerience
• Minimum 1 years electrical estimating / project management field
• Solar experience is a plus
• Ability to converse with and solicit trades, comfortable with cold-calling
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including the ability to solicit sub partners and suppliers
• Working knowledge of estimating software, construction software, Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to use new time-saving, cost-saving software
• Strong leadership skills, ability to organize, utilize and motive teams
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Self-Motivated, Self-Sufficient
• Deep knowledge of current NEC and NABCEP codes and standards
• Helioscope / Energy Tool Base and Solar Design Software knowledge is a plus
