Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG), formerly Tidewater Primary Care Physicians, P.C., was formed in 1992 with four primary care medical groups in Newport News, Hampton, and Yorktown, Virginia. TPMG Hospitalist Division at Mary Immaculate Hospital is looking for a Nocturnist to join their team.

TPMG Hospitalists oversee a patient’s stay and medical care while in the hospital. The hospitalists of TPMG Hospitalist Division at Mary Immaculate Hospital work as a team to ensure patients receive all they need during their hospitalization and help to coordinate with other physicians and staff members their patient discharge plans. The Nocturnist is an integral part of the hospitalist team, providing coverage for admissions, consultations, and floor calls while on shift. The hospitalist team is supported by the specialists of TPMG and has established its presence now at Mary Immaculate Hospital for almost 20 years.

Qualifications

Position details:

• Full-time position: 7 On-7 Off
• 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts
• Average hospitalist census 45 patients
• Cover code blues and RRT’s
• Work with intensivists in open ICU to provide patient care

Requirements:

• MD/DO
• Internal medicine/Family Medicine
• Current state licensure to practice medicine
• Board Certified
• DEA license
• ACLS/BLS certification
• Team player mentality
• Compassionate patient care abilities
