POSITION SUMMARY - FULL TIME POSITION

The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for providing a wide range of office support to the company including answering phones lines, scheduling/managing calendar, making/confirming meeting arrangements, and writing correspondence. Must be self-managed and direct duties of all clerical staff. Must be resourceful, an independent thinker, and self sufficient as well as self motivated.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answers and triages phone calls in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Schedules patients
  • Greets patients
  • Assists patients through the appointment check-in process and collect copays as needed
  • Completes patient intake paperwork and enters patient information into computer
  • Prepares new patient charts
  • Verifies insurance coverage and physical therapy benefits
  • Obtains referrals and authorizations as needed
  • Completes information requests from the billing office in a timely manner
  • Responds to records requests from attorneys in a timely manner
  • Completes weekly bank deposits
  • Oversees office supply inventory and ordering
  • Responsible for fire drills and safety checks
  • Performs other duties assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as an office manager, supervisory experience is a plus
  • Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrate professional demeanor,and the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong computer and internet skills including all MS Office suite required
  • Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize the tasks

This position is Full Time.

Medical insurance verification and authorization submission experience is required.
