TI Fluid Systems is Hiring a Plant Controller Near Cartersville, GA

Summary: Responsible for supervising, planning, and directing the finance department. Responsible for ensuring the safeguard of all assets of the plant.

Duties and Requirements of the Job:

  1. Manages and optimizes overhead expenditure.
  2. Prepares capital investment budget with accompanying justifications.
  3. Determines the monthly plant profit and analysis of the plant budget and forecast variances.
  4. Assists in inventory control by monitoring and analyzing inventory levels, leads the annual physical inventory.
  5. Prepares special financial and statistical reports including month end close, annual budgeting and monitoring and monthly forecasting, and analyzes unusual items on financial or accounting reports.
  6. Monitors plant performance and cost factors daily and informs and advises management of pertinent information and trends.
  7. Provides daily and weekly reports as required.
  8. Conducts new product and process cost analysis as needed.
  9. Creates and reviews measurable goals for department staff.
  10. Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, and employee motivation. Also including, but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
  11. Monitors product profitability and reviews with both plant and corporate management.
  12. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  1. Five years of progressive experience in finance.
  2. Must be able to analyze and interpret key financial dates to drive operational decisions.
  3. Must be pro-active in avoidance of unnecessary problems.
  4. Must be able to effectively solve problems using root cause analysis.
  5. Computer knowledge of ERP and reporting systems (such as OneStream)
  6. Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.
  7. Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  8. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  9. At least one year of operational accounting experience in manufacturing and at least 2 years of experience in an accounting supervisory role

Educational Requirements:

  1. Completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting or finance and may possess a CMA or CPA.

Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  1. Works at a PC for hours at a time.
  2. Able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  3. Able to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  4. Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  5. Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  6. May travel to plants and customer sites

Working Conditions:

  1. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.
  2. Hearing and eye protection required on the manufacturing floor.
  3. Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.
  4. Works within an automotive component manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.

Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:

  1. Valid driver’s license
