Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your expertise in laboratory management, immunoassays, DNA isolation, RNA extraction, and data management will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including immunoassays, ELISA, DNA isolation, RNA extraction, and more
- Collect and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and ti ssue specimens- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards
- Record and manage test results using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses- Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures and findings
- Assist in the training and supervision of laboratory technicians
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Valid certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting- Proficiency in performing immunoassays, ELISA, DNA isolation, RNA extraction, and other relevant laboratory techniques- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills- Ability to phlebotomize patients when necessary
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and analysis
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
