* Performs procurement activities including all aspects of transactions from initiation to award recommendation. Items procured may be specialized in nature giving rise to unique situations with complex specifications, limited market sources, and close price bidding.

* Drafts specifications for bids and proposals upon researching the end users needs to ensure proper procurement, maximized competition, and proper equipment form and function.

* Serves as liaison between campus and vendor community, supplying end users with information on sources, discounts, pricing and delivery provisions.

* Researches market to determine if sole sources are justified and to develop new sources for supplies and services.

* Communicates on and settles any differences on critical points and specific contractual provisions.

* May evaluate bid and proposal responses to contract awards and debrief unsuccessful vendors.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications****MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:****Education:**Bachelor's degree

**Experience:**Two (2) years of materials management, purchasing, or procurement.

**Supervisory Experience:**N/A

**Certification/Licensure:**N/A

**Other:**Experience may be substituted for education.
