Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pressman to join our team. As a Pressman, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in Adobe Creative Suite, fabricating, print advertising, layout design, graphic design, typography, screen printing, machining, CNC, and quality control.
Duties:
- Set up and operate printing presses according to job specifications
- Load and unload paper stock and ink into the press
- Adjust press settings to ensure proper ink distribution and color registration
- Monitor press performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain print quality
- Perform routine maintenance on printing presses to keep them in optimal condition
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process
- Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to ensure accurate reproduction of designs
- Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before final delivery
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Pressman or similar role
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software programs
- Strong knowledge of fabricating techniques and print advertising principles
- Familiarity with layout design, graphic design, typography, screen printing, machining, CNC, and quality control processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
