Thompson Thrift is Hiring a Director of Investment Partner Reporting Near Indianapolis, IN

Thompson Thrift is hiring a full-time Director of Investment Partner Reporting out of our corporate office in Indianapolis, IN. As the Director of Investment Partner Reporting, you will spearhead the strategy, development, and execution of investor reporting for our private investment partners. Your leadership will ensure the timely distribution of relevant information on active multifamily and commercial real estate investments, empowering investors to stay informed, track progress, and uncover valuable insights into performance, opportunities, and returns. This role is critical to our company's mission, as it plays a key leadership role within our equity capital markets team, allowing us to deliver best-in-class investor relations and communications. 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Leadership of executing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for over 50 properties to a broad audience private investment partners.
  • Will be resourced with assistance from a Capital Markets Associate.
  • Lead, enhance, monitor, and implement industry best practices to elevate reporting content and quality, fostering trust through prioritized transparency in all communication with investment partners.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ongoing residential and commercial developments involving equity and mezzanine partner investments.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, asset management, and acquisitions teams to prepare and deliver quarterly and monthly partner reports.
  • Gather, verify, and consolidate data for all active investments to ensure accuracy, including project financials, construction and leasing progress, and relevant market updates.
  • Utilize reporting tools such as the TT Partner Portal and Power BI to uphold internal reporting standards when sharing project information with investment partners.
  • Generate quarterly and annual Fund-Level summaries to illustrate progress and overall performance of active investments using defined data metrics.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in investment reporting or a similar role within the real estate or financial industry.
  • Real estate knowledge and expertise; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated leadership in implementing best reporting practices; strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management; proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools; motivated strategic thinker aligned with organizational objectives; ability to work collaboratively across departments; proficient in developing and iterating operational processes; project management and organizational skills; obsession for details and delivering results; and research and analytical skills with problem-solving aptitude.
