POSITION OBJECTIVES: Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry by performing the following duties.

• Assemble electrical systems or prototypes, using hand tools or measuring instruments.  
• Install electrical control systems or solid-state equipment. 
• Assemble equipment or components from document, pictures, an/or verbal instruction.  
• Inspect finished products to locate flaws.  
• Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.  
• Fabricate devices or components.  
• Install instrumentation or electronic equipment or associated systems.
  QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or GED required; graduate of a technical/vocational training program is preferred. Industry Certification Preferred. 
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Physical movement, bending, lifting, and twisting is required for installation of components.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
• Must be able to read and understand various service manuals, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting guides. Must be able to read and understand the Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. Employee Handbook, safety plans/programs, safety training materials and SDS sheets.
