Events Bartender

Bartenders are professional, have a high energy and exhibit excellent communication skills to serve cocktails, as well as exciting new beverages to our guests. Our bartenders will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, and recommend beverages. They will up sell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. Bartenders are always on stage and need to have a neat appearance, engaging, friendly personality, and should be observant, efficient, knowledgeable and personable.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages
• Restock and maintain par levels of all beverages needed for event
• Knowledge of food and beverages offered at event
• Uses appropriate garnish and glassware
• Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of all things bar
• Abides by all established cash handling procedures
• Assists in beverage inventories

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, cutlery used in the cutting of fruit for garnishes
• Full Vaccination against COVID-19

Qualifications

Skills / Experience:

• 2 years previous high-end restaurant or hotel experience
• Must be TIPS certified
• California Food Handlers Certified
• Expertise in Alcohol and cocktail making in high volume environments
• Experience with food and wine pairing
• Excellent listener & communicator
• Ability to focus on guest interaction and multitask
• Team player and able to anticipate others’ needs
• Understands sequence of service and coursing
• Positive Attitude
