The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. Registered Nurses must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have current licensure in good standing in the State of Alabama and provide evidence of BLS and all additional required credentials specific to nurse specialty. Additionally, in the ER, RNs are required to have BLS, ACLS and PALS to remain current at all times. Med-Surge will require BLS and ACLS to remain current at all times. New hires will have 6 months to obtain the additional certifications. The position is responsible to Director of Nursing.
