The Surgery Unit Assistant functions as a receptionist and patient care technician for the unit; and is responsible for transcribing physician orders, assembling/maintaining charts for admitted patients, preparing charts for HIM department for discharged patients, and entering orders into the Athena system and answers all phone calls and patient needs calls. The position is responsible to Director of Nursing.
