Responsibilities
Primary Function:
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Professional Registered Nurse of the OR (Operating Room) functions within the Professional Nursing Law, according to professional standards, and his/her level of knowledge and experience. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients (or patient) for a designated time frame by prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care. The Professional Registered Nurse provides care to the patient population of a specified clinical unit.

• Weekend Plan / PT Days / 20 hours weekly
• Works 3 out of 4 weekends - days include Fri, Sat & Sun
• Holiday Commitment (2 summer / 2 winter)

Qualifications
Education & Training:
BSN required, or in progress to be completed within 2 years of hire
Experience:
2 years RN expereince in desired field/speciality required
Licensure, Certifications, & Registration Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Maintains current licensure
• BLS & ACLS certification through American Heart Association required
  • PALS certification through American Heart Association preferred
• Certification in clinical practice area preferred
• Circulation / scrubbing expereince preferred
• Membership in Professional Organization encouraged
