Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is Hiring a Physician Relationship Manager Near Philadelphia, PA

PRIMARY FUNCTION: ThePhysician Relationship Manager (PRM) will be responsible for clinical growth by retaining current and generating new referrals from physicians. The Senior PRM will be responsible for creating referral development plans based on Jefferson Healthrsquo;s strategic and operating plans, PRM Outreach plan, internal stakeholder input and market intelligence.

ThePRM embodies a proven track record of success within Jefferson, demonstrates consistent, growth of strategic services, has a track record of exemplary communication with internal stakeholders and represents the organization at the highest level.

The role is exclusively dedicated to developing and cultivating relationships through face-to face interactions with physicians and the staff within their practices. This person will have deep understanding of health care, the practice of medicine including referral relationships, external and internal factors (ex. payor requirements) and other economic and financial influences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The role will be: 70-80% of the time in the field meeting with physicians and their staff. This may include support with select physician events at the discretion of the manager. 15% of time is set aside for field preparation and post-visit documentation and 5-15% is dedicated to learning about clinical offerings and working with internal stakeholders.
  • The senior PRM will be assist in coaching, mentoring and on-boarding other members of the PRM team
  • Under the leadership of the Director, the senior PRM will take on additional responsibilities or special projects and may be asked to represent the PRM team on committees, task forces and work groups.
  • Within a defined geographic territory, the Senior PRM facilitates relationships with physicians/staff by direct communication to earn new referrals and increase volume into the system.
  • Develops and implements field sales plans to increase patient volume in the local and regional Jefferson Health network.
  • Working with the director, maintains a data driven targeted physicians list based on demographics, referral trends and other relevant detail. .
  • Facilitates relationships with community physicians and university physicians by direct communication to earn referrals into the health system.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to Essential Functions:

  • Thorough knowledge of Jefferson Health departments and services preferred
  • Ability to write and implement a sales plan
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage resources within prescribed timeframes (prioritize and focus)
  • Ability to present, probe, persuade and actively listen to referral source needs and respond with the right mix of service line and product attributes that produces results.
  • Ability and willingness to use a data driven approach to selecting physicians.
  • Consistent, timely visit documentation and report generation.
  • Ability to work within a team structure, integrating and collaborating with various leadership and management groups to strategize and drive results
  • Conceptual thinking skills - connect the dots
  • Critical-thinking skills ndash; ability to look at all perspectives and get to the root of issues
  • Analytical thinking skills ndash; logical thinking
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree required, preferred in business, healthcare administration, or public health administration.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of sales experience, with physicians and/or health care provider setting. Strong direct relationship sales experience.
  • Previous experience in physician relationship management preferred
