Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is Hiring an Audiologist Near Philadelphia, PA

Jefferson Balance and Hearing Center is seeking a full- time clinical audiologist. We are a team of 16 audiologists and three support staff working across Philadelphia and the surrounding areas as part of the Jefferson Otolaryngology team. Responsibilities include screening and diagnostic assessments of hearing and balance, rehabilitative and counseling activities as well as academic responsibilities inherent in an adult hospital setting.. The audiologist will provide mentorship and/or precepting to students. The audiologist will also be highly encouraged to participate in research, though this is not a requirement.

-Clinical diagnostic audiologic evaluations including comprehensive audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex, OAE, and ABR.
- Clinical vestibular diagnostic evaluations including VNG, VHIT, VEMP, EcochG, and rotational chair.
- Generating formal reports on audiologic and vestibular findings including recommendations within EPIC electronic medical records and diagnostic equipment.
- Evaluation, selection, and fitting/verification of amplification devices, including traditional hearing aids, bone anchored hearing aids, and cochlear implants.
- Tinnitus evaluations, counseling, and treatment.
- Patient counseling regarding test results, treatment options, expectations, outcome goals, and hearing protection/conservation.

- Collaborating on patient care, discussion, and decision-making with other audiologists and otolaryngology team members.
- Meet documentation requirements to keep in compliance with JCAHO guidelines.
- Troubleshooting clinical equipment when necessary.

- Masterrsquo;s or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Licensed in the State of Pennsylvania as verified by the Board of Consumer Affairs
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey preferred but not required
- Certificate in Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Flexibility and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
