DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

$100,000 TO $150,000

SALARY: $100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE LEARNING and DEVELOPMENT Job Description:

The director of training will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs for staff members and management team at Thomas J. Henry Law. The training manager will collaborate closely with department heads and stakeholders to identify training needs, develop tailored learning solutions, and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives. This training specialist role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for employee development.

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE LEARNING and DEVELOPMENT Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan to include instructional methods such as e-learning, workshops, seminars, and coaching, to deliver engaging and effective training experiences.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to assess training needs
  • Design training programs to include onboarding, technical skills training, leadership development, and compliance training.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a robust leadership development program for managers and supervisors, focusing on essential leadership competencies and management skills.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of training initiatives on employee performance, retention, and overall business outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative learning technologies to continuously improve the firm’s training program and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Partner with external vendors, subject matter experts, and educational institutions to leverage resources and expertise in support of learning and development goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal trainers and facilitators, ensuring consistency and quality in training delivery.

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE LEARNING and DEVELOPMENT Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing learning and development programs, with a focus on staff and management development.
  • Experience in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other training technologies.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Licensed Attorney, JD, legal or professional services environment 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) is a plus.
