Our client is seeking a Corporate Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and providing financial expertise to support our manufacturing clients. This role requires a versatile individual with extensive experience in cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of a small company environment. “On-site” position.
Duties

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Cost Accounting: Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and variance analysis, to provide insights into manufacturing operations' performance and profitability.
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgeting tools to support strategic decision-making and operational planning for manufacturing clients.
• Month-End Close: Lead month-end closing procedures, reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax planning strategies for manufacturing clients.
•  Ad-Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects and initiatives as needed, such as process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and financial analysis to support business growth and efficiency.
•  Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing clients, serving as a trusted financial advisor, and providing proactive financial guidance and support.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, sales, and procurement, to understand business dynamics, address financial challenges, and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or Accounting or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
•  3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Ability to thrive in a small company environment, wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing priorities.
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build rapport with clients.
