Job Summary: Perform basic accounts payable accounting duties. 

Reporting Relationship: Controller 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy and vendor information. 

• Liaison with purchasing department to communicate questions/problems on mill invoices. 

• Liaison with operations personnel to communicate questions/problen1S on misc. Invoices 

• Enters assigned A/P invoices into computer system. 

• Sets up new vendors/maintain vendor files when necessary. 

• Files vendor information, invoices and payment information. 

• Places checks in envelopes when needed. 

• Maintain confidentiality of information and security of checks. 

• Help with accounts receivable department. 

Other Duties: 

• Liaison with vendors to enhance relationships. 

• Cross train on AIR duties and other accounting duties. 

• Perform duties of other accounting personnel when needed. 

• Prepare 1099s for vendors that require reporting to IRS. 

• All other duties as assigned by supervision or management. 

• Matches invoices to PODs and/or files invoices in customer files. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Requires high school diploma. 

• Experience in accounting also desired. 

• Must be familiar with computers, copier, adding machine, postage meter and fax machines.
