Thomas Cuisine is hiring a Retail Services Manager for Enloe Medical Center!

The Retail Food Service Managers primary responsibility is to supervise and coordinate the front-of-house and catering team.

The Retail Manager ensures the customers receive a warm welcome and the service runs smoothly. This includes organizing all work, schedules and ensuring all hygiene, safety, and regulatory rules are adhered to, and ensuring customers have the best possible experience.

$58,000- $62,000 plus bonus potential and profit-sharing

The Retail Manager is responsible for all food service-related activities which include :

The Retail Food Service Manager will have at least an associate's degree in hospitality or food service management or a minimum of three (3) years of front of house and managerial experience in a hospital or restaurant setting.

Will have within 90 days of employment a serve safe managers certification.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Maintains a clean and organized Cafe. Clearly practices clean as you go
  • Ensures all food is being handled properly to prevent food-borne illness
  • Accepts only products that meet predetermined quality standards
  • Ensures NFS personnel maintain personal hygiene standards to include proper handwashing and hair covering
  • Takes the necessary action to ensure Thomas Cuisine standards are met
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrates understanding of hospital infection control procedures and protocols
  • Abides by and promotes HIPAA and security policies and procedures and regulatory
  • Conducts daily team huddles
  • Demonstrates and promotes Thomas Cuisine culture, values, and philosophy
  • Recognizes the need and demonstrates good communication and listening skills
  • Dresses in an appropriate professional, business-like manner
  • Responsible for daily cash handling and reports
  • Works with the production chef manager to ensure production of all retail and catering food by the kitchen staff. Follows standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality
  • Develops rapport and is the primary contact for all catering clientele.
  • Ensures all caterings are executed at a high level and appropriate to the needs of the client while maintaining food safety and a genuine service
  • Trains or directs training of retail and catering staff in customer relations, cash handling, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation based on Thomas Cuisine and regulatory standards
  • Collaborates with production chef manager to create promotions and seasonal / holiday meals in the retail operation.
  • Has knowledge of current food trends and a passion for food.
