JOB DESCRIPTION & EXPECTATIONS 

The Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic team! The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
    • Manage job postings, screen resumes, and conduct interviews.
    • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and onboarding processes.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
    • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Promote a positive work environment and ensure employee satisfaction.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support the performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion.
    • Assist managers with employee performance issues and development plans.
    • Provide guidance on goal setting and performance improvement.
  • Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs.
    • Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Assist in administering compensation and benefits programs.
    • Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with enrollment.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • HR Administration and Compliance:
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS.
    • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare reports and provide analytics on HR metrics.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture:
    • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
    • Promote company culture and values through HR initiatives.
    • Conduct employee surveys and assist in action planning based on feedback.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
