Salary: $15-$20 per hour

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate is professional, with at least one to two years of corporate experience, who can thrive in a hardworking, collaborative, and has worked in a start-up environment. This role requires full synchronization between the HR Assistant and the EVP, HR in terms of goals, directions, and duties. Resiliency, enthusiasm, relentless drive, and a sense of urgency are all major qualities for success in this role. This person will support leadership and should be able to navigate a sometimes chaotic and fast-paced environment.

Candidates for this role must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Additionally, this position will require you to learn various HR specific related programs and processes. Those who are able to adapt and incorporate changes into their working routine will excel in this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Support business units with a variety of HR needs including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, payroll/benefits, etc.

• Coordinate HR projects and deadlines for designated business units to ensure completion

• Track various HR items via HRIS system and ADP to include training, compliance items, etc.

• Assist with writing reviews, coaching, communication pieces, etc.

• Create reports and use data to help identify opportunities and solutions

• Assist with the execution of company training programs

• Assist with design and execution of culture building initiatives

• Maintains confidentiality and promotes a positive professional image in all situations

• Performs special projects and other assigned duties as required

• Able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

• Strong computer skills, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office

• Strong technical skill set, with the ability to learn new software systems as they are implemented

• Minimum of 2 years in full life cycle of Human Resources experience necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong experiences in HR processes, procedures and policies

• Strong knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws and regulations Must possess a thorough understanding of the confidentiality associated with the position

• Strong customer service to internal and external business partners

• Strong excel and google sheets knowledge

• Intermediate skill level in Excel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for up to 6 to 8 hours per day while working at a computer, during meeting or while driving. Walking up to 2 hours per day while performing field visits as needed. Ability to see well enough to function in a typical office environment and read standard text on paper and electronic screen of a computer or handheld device. The employee frequently is required to use hands. Repetitive reaching, repetitive hand use. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Available for after hour emergency response.
