ThinkArgus is Hiring an Art Director Near Boston, MA

Overview

You are an Art Director who wants the opportunity to do compelling and groundbreaking work that makes a difference in society. Exceptional taste, attention to detail and an obsession to make things look cool are three ways you describe yourself. You have 2 to 3 years of experience under your belt – just enough to know your way around an office dynamic. You love concepting and thinking strategically about a creative idea as much as you love exploring the visual execution. In fact, you don’t just love exploring, you’re obsessed with the way it looks. You can work independently and as a part of a team. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

If this sounds like we’re describing you, keep reading and apply. We’d love to hear from you!

About Argus

We sell good. Not goods.

We make marketing a force for good. We close gaps in health, wealth, climate, culture, and education. When your goal is ambitious and important, it’s not a part time job. It’s all day, all night, and all over the world. Why? Because there’s always good to be done.

Argus. All good.

What we expect

Communication through Creative
You have big ideas, but more importantly, you can convey those ideas through beautiful execution. You love coming up with big ideas born out of strategy — never developing flashy creative just to show off, but meaningful creative that has the intended impact with the target audience.

Passion and Insight
You come to every project with creativity and passion but are tempered by a willingness to listen and understand different points of view. You understand the importance of paying attention to the little things — after all, the devil’s in the details!

Hustle and Attention to Detail
You can juggle many balls in the air, while understanding how to prioritize and meet competing deadlines. You’re used to fast-paced environments and understand that deliverables need to be both flawless and done on time.

Job Description

  • Demonstrate an understanding of social marketing (or a willingness to learn)
  • Create a range of big ideas and carry those ideas through beautiful execution
  • Exceptional taste and design aesthetic to establish the look/tone/feel for campaigns
  • Ability to format client presentation and production-ready designs and layouts
  • Ensure a high quality standard and attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate with strategists, account directors, and
managers to plan projects with the ability to direct other designers
  • Pitch concepts internally to the creative directors and account team
  • Attend strategic and tactical meetings to develop effective campaigns reflecting the objectives for
existing clients and potential new business
  • Review designers’ work and provide clear and timely direction and feedback
  • You stay hip to trends, technologies, and best practices
  • You believe that creativity can be a power for good and can lead to a positive impact on society.

Skills/Necessary Experience

  • 3 years of experience as an Art Director in an agency or in-house agency
  • A good portfolio showing a range of ideas and execution
  • A team-first attitude
  • Communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • An understanding of social marketing (or an eagerness to learn the nuances)
  • Experience developing creative concepts based on a strategy
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

ThinkArgus is committed to creating an inclusive employee experience for all. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or favorite sports team, we believe that our workplace is at its best when everyone is their most authentic self.
