THIELENHAUS MICROFINISH is Hiring a Controls Engineer Near Novi, MI
Responsibilities:
- Design and Startup of Controls Projects including: PLC's, HMI's, Motion, Network Communications, and Robotics
- Write software from scratch for PLC and HMI
- 10% Allen Bradley
- 90% Siemens (TIA Portal Platforms)
- Start up and debug on shop floor
- Installations at customer site ( 20% travel throughout North America and possibly worldwide)
- Assist service department when needed
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the controls automation field
- Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting control systems
- Solid understanding of fieldbus and communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, IO-Link
- Experience in Servo/VDF programming and commissioning (Including Safety STO/SS1/SS2/SOS/SLS etc.)
- Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in using high-level programming languages for scripting
- Experience with electrical schematics design (90% E-Plan / 10% AutoCad)
- Knowledgeable in UL 508A, NFPA70 and NFPA79
- Experience with pneumatic schematics design
- Experience with Robot programming (Fanuc)
