From offices in New York City, London, Birmingham (UK), and New Delhi, we look after and house assignees from more than 300 corporate clients worldwide; these corporations range from a mix of Fortune 100 to soon to go public tech companies. Globally and with your help, our aim is to get to 1000 corporate clients by the end of 2023 and expand our coverage from NYC, London and Delhi to more planned offices across Europe, APAC and the United States.

As VP Relocation Sales / General Manager your responsibilities will include building out an A team; driving revenue, sales and market penetration via new key accounts; cementing our preferred status with key property partners within the US market. You will also be involved in thinking out of the box and improving our award winning tech platforms with “on ground/local” feedback. This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to lead, help drive growth and shape the future of our organisation in the Americas Corporate and alternate accommodation industries.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire, develop and retain a local team in the tri-state NYC area initially and possibly expanding nationwide down the road
  • Responsible for developing closer ties with Relocation, TMCs, government, military, Insurance, and Entertainment industries contract opportunities.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships and sourcing & nurturing new relationships
  • This role is a PL leadership role, so you will be responsible for the North America P&L.
  • Drive revenue and market share quarterly and achieving our growth objectives
  • Motivate and coach local teams to help achieve our internal employee retention and satisfaction scores.
  • Manage contract negotiations with suppliers and key accounts.
  • Customer visits & sales presentations
  • Representing the business at webinars, conferences, networking events and exhibitions
  • Help improve our technology platforms - TheSqua.re, EcoGrade™ (sustainability), and TheSquare.ai with local on ground feedback from customers and partners.
  • Work with stakeholders across the firm to deliver exceptional quality and consistently high quality brand experience.
  • Working with Operations and Revenue departments to identify where efficiency & productivity could be improved.
  • Working with the senior leadership team to drive the strategic planning process, define ambition, and set priorities.
  • Apply intelligent thought and analysis to solve problems creatively.
  • Help scale to other US cities/regional markets through developing and sharing of best practices.
  • Role is full time, from the office and requires occasional weekend work.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years of work experience with specific exposure to Corporate Housing is needed for this role. In addition established relationships with key decision makers in Global Mobility / Relocation Companies or emergency/insurance housing or entertainment, government/military is needed.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team and ownership of a profit centre.
  • A strong sense of ethics and integrity.
  • A passion for technology and innovation and a desire to help remove friction and improve customer experience in our industry using cutting edge technology.
  • Past experience as a GM or as a Senior Sales Manager of a corporate housing company desirable
  • A self starter, positive attitude with natural leadership skills and the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision making mentality.
  • Able to prioritise even where information available is limited.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker who will find creative ways to problem solve.
  • Autonomous in approach, not requiring much guidance.
  • Prior P&L responsibility is key, experience managing a profitable 5-20m USD revenue business is important.
  • An effective decision-maker with high emotional intelligence and exceptional project management skills.
  • A track record of demonstrable problem-solving skills in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
