We are seeking an Construction Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the construction project manager to ensure the seamless execution of day-to-day project operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing CPM schedules using Microsoft Project, coordinating subcontracts, troubleshooting project issues, and tracking costs, labor, and quantities. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with our corporate safety program and managing project-specific technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the construction project manager in planning, organizing, and managing daily project operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive CPM schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Participate in negotiating, writing, and coordinating subcontracts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex project issues as they arise.
  • Track costs, labor, and quantities to ensure project efficiency.
  • Ensure projects adhere to our corporate safety program.
  • Manage project-specific technical documents, including specifications and design drawings.
  • Interface professionally with engineers to clarify design intent.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to field foremen to enhance productivity and adhere to the schedule.
  • Assist in ordering system components, major equipment, and materials.
  • Review, approve, and process submittals with engineers.
  • Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process.
  • Deliver quality customer service and follow-up with clients as needed.
  • Attend regular project team meetings to plan and assess progress.
  • Conduct short interval planning meetings with foremen, subcontractors, and owners as required.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Assist with equipment start-up coordination.
  • Aid in obtaining project permits.
  • Coordinate punch list and close-out efforts.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the project manager.

Experience, Technical Skills & Attributes:

  • 3-5 years of construction experience.
  • Thorough understanding of process piping and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Personal transportation required for offsite meetings and job sites (mileage reimbursed).
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; a degree in construction management is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
