Join our growing company as we seek experienced candidates for the role of Master Planner/Production Control Coordinator. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure the efficient release and scheduling of production orders, meeting customer requirements and supporting various additional duties aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed master production and material plans to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production capacity planning, aligning with standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Lead initiatives related to capacity analysis, time studies, labor performance analysis, and cost estimation.
  • Review and analyze daily MRP requirements, releasing work orders accordingly.
  • Monitor and address action messages across internal and external Work in Progress (WIP), adjusting production activities as needed.
  • Manage PPOD queues to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor customer-provided forecasts to ensure adequate production time allocation.
  • Execute order adjustments, including splits, reductions, and increases as necessary.
  • Modify operational and build information, inventory settings, and warehouse details as required.
  • Close open work orders in accordance with operational needs.
  • Maintain data integrity by cleaning up transactional journals and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor future work and facilitate the flow of follow-on and new work using expedited reports.
  • Coordinate internally to address WIP issues impacting customer commitments.
  • Complete Engineering Change Orders (ECO) as required.
  • Attend meetings, providing accurate and relevant data as needed.
  • Document all transactions, issues, and important information accurately.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, or Capacity Planning.
  • APICS - CPIM and/or CSCP training and certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement tools and/or certifications is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong language abilities, including reading, writing, and speaking effectively.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, including basic arithmetic and data interpretation.
  • Strong reasoning skills to analyze and address complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MRP manufacturing software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field,
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning and scheduling, master planning, or production control.
  • Proficient communication skills, multitasking ability, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
