Job Summary:
The Westin Palo Alto is seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our dynamic team in Palo Alto, California. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests while maintaining high levels of hygiene and safety standards. This is a full-time hourly position within the hospitality/restaurant industry, offering a competitive compensation of $27 per hour paid biweekly.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Respond to guest requests and special dietary needs in a timely and friendly manner.
• Follow all food and safety regulations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
