The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. MDS you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is a logical assignment to the position.

The primary purpose of your job position is to promote the physical and emotional well being of nursing home facility residents through the use of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) to gather information from residents and their families during initial and periodic interviews. Utilizing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) as the key tool in the process of assessing the functional capabilities of residents, the MDS Coordinator formulates, implements and monitors individualized care plans for residents to ensure their effectiveness. In addition, the MDS Coodinator must make sure all strategies comply with Medical standards and ethical standards. You are responsbile for all MCR/Manged care MDS/Updates/Careplans.
