The Wedding Shop is Hiring an Event Operations Technician Near Panama, FL

The Wedding Shop is a leading local event company specializing in weddings, event setup, rental deliveries, and event hospitality. As a growing company, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Event Operations Technician to join our team.

As a full-time Event Operations Technician, you will be responsible for preparing rental items for use, assisting with event setups, as well as driving a truck and trailer for rental deliveries and setups. This role also includes warehouse organization, loading, and unloading duties. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a safe driving record. This role offers the opportunity for growth and a chance to contribute to the success of our events and ensure seamless events for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead event setup crews in the preparation and installation of event equipment, including tents, tables, chairs, lighting, and other rental items.
  • Safely and efficiently drive a company-owned trailer or truck to deliver rental items to event locations.
  • Set up rental equipment at event venues according to client/designer specifications and venue restrictions, ensuring a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Safely and proficiently operate equipment such as ladders and hand trucks for loading and unloading materials at event sites and the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep of the storage facilities.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines for driving, loading/unloading, and warehouse operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth delivery and setup processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in driving or equipment operation are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience towing trailers.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and direct event setup crews.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment, work outdoors in various weather conditions and on the san, and perform manual labor as needed.
