Lift Operator
JOB OVERVIEW
This position is a part-time Lift Operator job responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Hoedown Hill conveyor lifts including helping guests on and off the lifts. They are also responsible for maintaining the lift areas for snow removal and safe, organized, professional work environments and positive general support duties for the day-to-day operations of Hoedown Hill activities.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Commitment to providing a safe experience for our guests and team members by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards
  • Learn, perform and train job tasks for activities on Hoedown Hill
  • Participates in all phases of the job: opening, operational hours, and closing lifts
  • Understand LOTO awareness
  • Maintain flexible schedule to accommodate opening and closing needs and special events
  • Responsible for compliance with hill safety practices to minimize injuries and unsafe practices
  • Assist passengers in the safe loading and unloading of lifts, while providing excellent customer service by interacting with guests.
  • Maintain load and unload ramps and areas around all lift stations by shoveling and/or raking snow
  • Organize the maze to provide orderly and friendly access to the lift and manage crowds for efficient loading
  • Be familiar with all policies, procedures and rules regarding operating and riding a conveyor lift and ensure that these are followed by staff and guests.
  • Maintain a neat clean appearance including personal presentation, lift equipment and the surrounding area
  • Consistently express a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively providing guests and fellow employees with assistance, information, and directions
  • Must adhere to all safety policies.
  • Motivate employees and resolve issues
  • Report potential safety hazards to Lift Operator Shift Leads.
  • Provide exceptional guest experience: From operating activities to answering questions and helping guests navigate the experiences safely.
  • Work as a team player with co-workers and other departments as needed
Job Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of conveyor lift
  • First Aid/ CPR desirable
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify problems and safety issues and ability to execute resolution
  • Ski/snowboarding desired
  • Able to work irregular hours and to maintain a high level of caution and situational awareness while performing duties
  • Must be a minimum of 17 years of age
  • Have reliable transportation to work
On-Hill Environment:
  • The primary physical environment in which this position works is outdoors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, and rain.
  • The degree of strenuous activity within the job is high. Often lifting a weight of 25 pounds throughout the day is common.
  • Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with equipment.
Expected Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour
Shift type: Part-Time, Weekends and Holidays
