The Wall Las Memorias is Hiring a Deputy Director Near Los Angeles, CA

Hours: Full-time (40 Hours a week) M-F 9am-6pm (some nights and weekends will be required)
Salary: $85,500-$95,000 (Depending on Experience)
Benefits:
· Medical, 85% paid by employer (employee only)
· Vision, 100% paid by employer (employee only)
· Dental, 100% paid by employer (employee only)
  • Employee responsible for dependents.
· Paid vacation (80 Hours first year of employment, after 5 years it increases to 96 hours)
· Paid sick days.

Opportunity: To work for highly acclaimed organization which constructed the nation’s only publicly funded AIDS monument and utilizes a community based organizing model to address social justice issues and providing health education and wellness prevention programs such as substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and mental health.
Mission: The Wall-Las Memorias Project is a community health and wellness organization dedicated to serving Latino, LGBTQ and other underserved populations through advocacy, education and building the next generation of leadership.
It is a leading Southern California health prevention organization and recognized nationally for its community engagement models.
Description: The Deputy Director plays a critical role in the leadership team of The Wall – Las Memorias contributing to the strategic direction, organizational growth, and overall success of the nonprofit. This position collaborates closely with the Executive Director and other senior staff to ensure effective management, program development, and community impact.
 Key Responsibilities:
 Leadership and Strategy:
· Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan.
· Provide leadership in the absence of the Executive Director and contribute to decision-making processes.
· Assist in setting organizational goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the mission.
Program Management:
· Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
· Works with senior program managers to enhance the impact, reach, and effectiveness of initiatives.
· Monitor program budgets and resource allocation.
Staff Development and Management:
· Supervise and mentor senior program managers and division managers.
· Facilitate professional development and mentorship opportunities for staff.
· Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Partnership Development:
· Build and maintain strategic partnerships with other nonprofits, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
· Collaborate with external partners to enhance programmatic outcomes and sustainability.
Advocacy and Public Relations:
· Represent the organization as directed, in external forums such as conferences, and community meetings.
· Advocate for the organization's mission and impact within the community.
· Work with management in cultivating relationships with program officers.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree relevant field (master’s degree preferred).
· Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit setting.
· Strong understanding of nonprofit management, including program development.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
· Knowledge of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay Bisexual & Transgender) and Latinx issues affecting the community
· Understanding and Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
· Ability to work well with diverse populations and stakeholders.
· Knowledge of public health prevention strategies and implementation of programs
· Understanding principles of community engagement and outreach
· Bilingual in Spanish and English
