JOB SUMMARY
The Clinician provides direct services to clients, in the office, school, or other identified setting to meet the unique needs of families served. Unlicensed clinicians are hired prior to obtaining their license to practice as mental health practitioners (i.e. psychology, social work, LMFT, LPC, LADC). Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision by a licensed clinician and may be offered training opportunities. When eligible, all unlicensed clinicians are expected to obtain licensure in order to be considered for ongoing employment at The Village.
Adult Services Community Based Clinician
Provides community-based treatment for adults with serious behavioral health issues. Works closely with case managers and recovery support specialists to provide services in a trauma-informed and relational manner with an emphasis of helping the client live successfully in the community. Services (assessment, engagement, individual, group, and family therapy, crisis management, case management, and advocacy) provided in the environment most supportive to the client (home, community, clinic, etc). Excellent collaboration with community providers required. Participates in the development and implementation of treatment plans modifying as appropriate during the course of service. Clinicians are responsible for attending weekly individual supervision and group supervision, clinical rounds, and other department meetings. Participates as full member of the multidisciplinary clinical team. Is responsible for maintaining clinical documentation according to licensing, accreditation, Medicaid, and best practice standards.
