Job Overview:

As a Village Charter School General Music Teacher:

Contract position for the 2024-2025 school year. The Village Charter School is seeking qualified applicants for the position of K-8 Music Education Teacher. NJ Music Education PK-12 certification required. Ability to teach all general instruction music courses for grades K-8, including vocal and instrumental techniques, music appreciation, composition, and recorder. Some experience in directing choral and/or instrumental ensembles, and choral/recorder concerts for numerous and/or all grade levels. Ability to develop talents of learners in the field of music and establish a lifelong love of music.

Maintaining and Organizing Materials and Equipment

· Manage musical supplies and equipment, ensuring that students have access to the necessary materials and resources

· Mastery of content knowledge

• Participation in school and organization-wide family events

Salary

The Village Charter School offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with yearly increases. The annual salary range for this position is $61,500 - $90,000.
