The Vegan Copacker is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Village, IL
Overview: Seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor. In this leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of our vegan baking facility production line, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with your manager regarding the production expectation for the day, week, and month.
- Be the go-to person for the operation of all baking machinery/equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality baked goods.
- Provide training to production line workers on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Track and analyze production performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed by production staff.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing preventive measures as needed.
- Communicate any equipment or shortage/overage issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Verification of quantity and inspection of incoming raw materials & components to ensure they meet specification.
- Identify opportunities for systems to ensure quality and efficiency of production, packaging and warehouse GMP practices.
- Effectively coach production line on quality and production requirements.
- Other tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (preferred).
- 2-3 years of food manufacturing experience (bakery preferred)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand on feet all day
- Ability lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
- Knowledgeable on baking machinery and equipment
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
