Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team! We are accepting applications for a position with "The UPS Store" near Cherry Creek (700 N. Colorado Blvd., Denver). We are looking to hire a full-time associate. The ideal applicant should be flexible in hours worked including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Store hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 9am - 3pm. Please note that you must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for several hours. You will be expected to present a professional and groomed appearance at all times. Applicant should be comfortable working with computers, including basic Microsoft Office products, and Point of Sales systems. Primary duties to include assisting customers with their shipping needs, packaging various fragile items, selling private mailboxes, sorting mail, creating/printing materials (knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Publisher is a plus), making copies, faxing and other retail sales. General light cleaning and stocking inventory expected. Applicant should be comfortable engaging customers, building rapport, solving problems, and helping to identify appropriate services/products to completely fulfill the customer needs. Seeking a friendly, self-motivated, and outgoing individual. Previous "The UPS Store" experience is helpful. Please note specific store and contact person if currently employed with another "The UPS Store".
Applicant may be required to become a Notary Public. Training is provided. (some online, but mostly on the job) Seeking an employee with a desire to remain in the position long-term. Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are in the store
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures
• Work at a register to ring up customer sales
• Collect payments by cash and credit card
• Issue receipts and refunds to customers
• Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance
• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company
• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
