The UVM Medical Center, in partnership with The Vermont Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Program (VTEHDI), is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct care to children in educational settings.
This position is eligible for up to a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!
External candidates are eligible for a one-time signing bonus between $3,000-$5,000. (prorated for part time roles).
The bonus will be paid out as 1/3 gross pay adjustment in the first paycheck following the completion of a successful 90-day orientation; the second installment of 1/3 will be paid upon completion of one year of service; the third installment will be paid at 1/3 upon completion of two years of service. Amounts reflect gross pay, prior to applicable tax withholdings and deductions required by law.
Responsibilities Include:
Evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing.
Teaching and working closely with families, case managers and providers for continued care after evaluation.
Demonstrating dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of care.
Working within a cooperative team model of care
Supporting other SLPs by sharing caseloads, and assisting colleagues as the need arises.
EDUCATION:
Master's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or current eligibility to obtain this certification, is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience with children in a home, school or medical setting strongly preferred.
