Admissions Coordinator, Online Programs
Job Description
The University of Tulsa is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Admissions Coordinator for Online Programs to join our dynamic admissions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support of applicants and admission processes for our online undergraduate programs. This position requires a proactive approach to understanding the unique needs of online learners and the ability to provide exceptional support throughout their admissions process as it relates to transfer credits and degree pathways.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support and Guidance on Transfer Credits
  • Manages day to day questions from prospective students, providing detailed information about the online programs, admissions criteria transfer process
  • Maintains communication with in-progress applicants via email and phone to assemble required information and materials in order to complete application files, troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Delivers outstanding, responsive customer service
  • Verifies student credit eligibility
  • Evaluates unofficial and official domestic and international transfer coursework for equivalencies to TU and coordinate official transfer evaluation with the Registrar’s Office
  • Manages course substitution processes
Teamwork
  • Collaborates with various university departments and teams to promote online programs and ensure alignment with the university’s strategic goals
  • Participates in virtual and in-person events to represent the university and its online programs to potential students
  • Monitors and analyzes enrollment trends to inform future recruitment efforts and program development
  • Provides exceptional customer service to prospective and current students, addressing concerns and facilitating a smooth transition to online learning
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required
  • 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services
  • Strong understanding of the online learning landscape and the specific needs of online students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems and digital communication tools to manage and track prospective student interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to achieving enrollment goals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services in an online education environment
Physical Demands
  • Typing/Keyboarding: Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.
  • Speaking: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Reaching: Ability to reach for items on shelves or in cabinets.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, handle files, and perform other tasks.
