This is a grant funded, temporary position, with expected dates from May 16-August 31, 2022 and is contingent upon funding availability.SalarySalary Range: $31,200-$36,880 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours per WeekNon-Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions- Responsible for the routine lab maintenance including managing sample/lab supplies inventory, ordering/purchasing and supporting for other lab staffs.
- Mouse husbandry, breeding and genotyping with PCR
- Handling, treatment (i.p. injection, oral gavage), sensory function tests and tissue collection in the mouse experimental models.
- Perform Western blot, PCR, immunocytochemistry, mammalian cell culture
- Maintain accurate records of research, order supplies and equipment necessary for experimentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree
- One or more years of research experience in molecular/cellular/neuro biology research labs (not lab courses) is required.
- Experience with standard laboratory practices associated with mouse husbandry/breeding and molecular biology techniques including Western blot, PCR and microscopy is essential.
- Experience with the mouse sensory function test is required.
- Keen attention to detail in both experiments and record-keeping is required
- Experience using basic scientific equipment ordinarily used in molecular/cellular biology laboratory work.
- An ability to communicate clearly in spoken/written English
- Experience with laboratory management.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
