Purpose Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Communications and Marketing, the Coordinator for Communications and Events supports the Communications and Marketing team and Managing Director through internal communications, event coordination, and performance of various administrative functions for organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The role will be split between the Communications and Marketing team, collaborating and supporting the Managing Director with administrative duties and internal communications. Responsibilities Completes general administrative duties for the Managing Director, including drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and performing other job-related duties as assigned to meet business needs. Provides sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives and just-in-time assistance on seasonal, unexpected, and urgent projects. Coordinates event and conference proposals, attendance, and planning across regional, state, and national teams. Supports professional learning and development events and systems through registration, marketing, and communication assets to meet required timelines and identified outcomes for Instructors, district partners, and the organization. Creates and contributes to the development of meeting and conference presentations, marketing materials, swag items, and one-pagers for varying audience groups such as policymakers, educators, employers, and other assets as directed. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external vendors to secure timely and accurate processing of contracts and purchasing requests. Ensures alignment of conferences, event logistics, and processes within UT policies and procedures. Updates communication materials, including briefs, talking points, FAQs, one-pagers, brochures, and more, for various internal and external audiences to help inform and educate about OnRamps activities while ensuring messaging is aligned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field. 3 years’ experience in K12 or higher education environments. Excellent writing and editing skills, including copy-editing. Preferred Qualifications 5 years' experience developing content or assets for K12 or higher education audiences. 1 years' experience in non-profit development. 1 years' experience in project management. Salary $60,000 depending on qualifications Working Conditions Climbing of stairs, repetitive movement, hybrid work environment, shared desk environment On rare occasions, may require weekend or evening work during specific times of the annual cycle for asset development and creation.
