Mental Health/Community Health/Geriatrics/Informatics Nursing Faculty - Full-Time Tenure Stream
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is looking for qualified applicants for a full-time tenure stream faculty in the Department of Health and Community Systems.
Faculty members are employees of the University and receive dedicated time and resources to perform scholarly work, travel to present their work at professional conferences, and opportunities to pursue specialty certification and faculty practice. Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for these tenure stream faculty positions include an earned doctorate (DNP or PhD) and ability to obtain RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Professor – A) An earned DNP or PhD in nursing or a related field is required. B) Evidence of or potential for excellence in scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse students. C) Demonstrated expertise in area of nursing or expertise in a related substantive area. D) Evidence of potential to produce scholarly work.
Associate Professor – A) An earned DNP or PhD in nursing or a related field. B) Evidence of excellence in scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse students. C) Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity as indicated by publications, grants, or any other validating material. D) Expertise recognized at the national/international level.
Desired Qualifications: Program of research in health and community systems; community and public health, psychiatric mental health, and geriatrics; and/or health informatics. Faculty candidates should demonstrate their research success or the potential for significant accomplishments in their areas of interest.
