Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Donor Relations on the Dahlonega campus. The Assistant Director of Donor Relations will be a strategic thinker who is laser focused on communicating philanthropic impact and who brings excellent writing, project management and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will show clear attention to detail with their professionalism, judgment and keen focus on quality and accuracy. The Assistant Director will help plan, organize, and execute a unique set of donor-centered programs, including gift stewardship reporting, student-donor engagement initiatives and impactful donor communication, all which serve to engage donors and students and foster lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute key UNG events including the UNG Gala and key donor engagement events, creating impactful, immersive opportunities, celebrating donor generosity and student gratitude, illustrating the impact of donor philanthropy.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Development to create new gift agreements; work with internal partners to manage existing agreements, ensuring donor gift intent is honored. Gather scholarship recipient information to share impact and gratitude to donors. Manage gift impact reporting process and other stewardship projects.
  • Manage donor communication, ensuring meaningful and timely delivery, including video and photography projects. Collaborate with team to ensure Foundation website updates are relevant and timely. Collaborate with internal partners to create impactful donor communication projects including annual donor impact report and endowment reports.
  • Manage donor recognition program, including data management, digital and donor wall updates and events.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Donor Relations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituents, volunteers, and co-workers across the University.
  • Must maintain confidentiality, be highly detailed oriented, self-motivated and well-organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and to track activities.
  • Complete projects with a high level of accountability, coupled with analytical skills and creativity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience specific to the combination of one of the following areas: donor relations, communications, public relations, fundraising, marketing or sales.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in donor relations, higher education and/or non-profit is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge by Blackbaud and Thankview are preferred.

Proposed Salary

Minimum Starting Salary - $50,957
