Job Description

Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as an Executive Director of Performance Marketing.

The Executive Director of Performance Marketing will be a key contributor to building value by driving incremental appointments and patients and executing an omnichannel strategy for the enterprise. This role will manage a team and work across the organization to maximize return on ad spend and return on investment through tracking strategy/implementation, website optimization, product optimization and performance, performance media execution/oversight, marketing tech stacks, including the consumer data platform (CDP), and other ongoing data collection efforts.

This position can be remote with quarterly requirements to travel to the Chicagoland area.

Who you are:

An innovative, creative, and detail-oriented marketing leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of Marketing experience; preferably in healthcare or closely related field
  • Digital media experience, working with demand-side platforms (DSPs), data management platforms (DMPs), and other marketing tech stacks
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience in using various marketing and public relations tactics, including market research, advertising, community relations, direct mail, collateral, digital media, event planning, etc.
  • Experience in multiple modes of communication including print, digital, photography, video, social media channels, verbal presentations, activities, and grassroots efforts
  • Knowledge of media tagging, including coding and implementation
  • Working knowledge of CDPs, segment ideation, strategy, and associated media platform activations; experience with Salesforce Data Cloud preferred
  • Ability to manage, hire, train, and develop a team of 5 or more employees, and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communications skills; marketing and journalism skills preferred
  • Strong computer skills including software proficiency in MS Office programs, CRM programs, BI/Data viz programs, and specialty software
  • Position requires strategic thinking and strategy development

What you’ll do as an Executive Director of Performance Marketing at UChicago Medicine:

  • Direct a team of four or more marketers
  • Maintain ongoing ownership and maintenance of 3rd party platform activities including: Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, and call tracking technology
  • Develop strategy of conversion tracking and direct the implementation for 3rd party booking websites and scheduling tools such as ZocDoc for telehealth appointments
  • Oversee website experiments including AB, multi-variant, and user experience testing
  • Directo oversight of media planning, execution and reporting efforts
  • Lead end-to-end consumer data platform enterprise strategy and ongoing omnichannel segment activations
  • Support CRM strategy and utilization efforts
  • Guide media agency reporting output / quality control
