Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This position supervises the Admissions staff, creates and implements department policy and ensures that enrollment goals are achieved.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise admission officers and applicant advisors who work with students applying into the prerequisites or Associates Degree in Nursing program.
  • Meets or exceeds enrollment goals; conducts online and in-person program presentations
  • Manage day to day processes, monitor productivity, and set goals for team to achieve during each part of the admissions funnel.
  • Communicate with team members on a weekly and/or one-on-one basis to ensure enrollment is on track; problem solving as needed to support staff and enrollment activities
  • Collaborate with communication and events team to create campaigns and events to support recruitment and enrollment
  • Uses reports to monitor team progress; reports to senior leadership on a consistent basis about enrollment trends.
  • Creates, implements and monitors department policies. Develops training handbooks and guidelines, tracks and reviews department assessment and enrollment data.
  • Involved in the implementation of department and system policies related to admissions and in the development of assessments
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some weekday evenings and Saturdays
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.

  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
  • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
  • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

  • Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Knowledge of the College’s academic and financial aid programs and enrollment process. 
  • Strong sales and supervisory skills

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education, Training and Experience:

The qualifications required would generally be acquired with the following or any equivalent combination of education, work experience and training.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
  • 4 years’ experience in sales or customer service
