The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) is the nation’s premier conservation and preservation organization. The Trustees’ properties are open to all, and we thrive by involving as many people as possible in all that we do. Founded in 1891 by a group of visionary volunteers, we preserve, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts. The Role: The Manager of Gift Processing has a pivotal role within the Finance Division and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of gift processing and maintenance of fundraising-related data. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Fundraising Data Services, this role involves collaborating closely with the Finance and Development divisions to ensure accurate and efficient processing of gifts, donor record maintenance, and financial analysis. Responsibilities include managing gift processing and database management, ensuring compliance with security standards, PCI regulations, and IRS regulations, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are essential for success in this role.
Pay Range: $62,000 - $72,000
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of transaction processing, ensuring timely and accurate recording of revenue and handling complex gifts and payment types.
Maintain and update fundraising databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor information and gift records.
Generate standard and ad hoc reports to support decision-making processes within the Finance and Development divisions, collaborating closely with both teams to provide the necessary support.
Collaborate with the Accounting department to process, account for, and analyze fundraising and related revenue, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in gift processing operations while serving as a resource and backup for the Manager of Fundraising Data Services.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience supervising a team in gift processing and database management.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or other CRM databases.
Experience in gift processing, database management, and reporting within a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
Proficiency in database software, excel, and other relevant software applications.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in gift processing and donor management.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Experience training and cross-training on CRM and gift processing procedures.
